Fees

Fees are subject to revision from time to time, usually in September of each year. It is the policy of the Trustees to give parents a minimum of a term's notice of any change made. Tuition fees, which include all books and stationery, are payable in advance by the first day of each term.

The fees payable from September 2023 are as follows:

Tuition - Kinders to Year 2

Tuition - Year 3 to 6

£4,586.00 per term

Deposit £300.00 - payable on acceptance of a place at the school.
The deposit is repaid at the end of the final term, after deducting any amounts then outstanding.
Should parents decide to withdraw a child from the school, a full term's notice is required.

Sibling Discount Scheme

A sibling discount scheme operates across Leicester Grammar School and Leicester Grammar Junior School, whereby a discount is applied to the termly bill for the youngest child in the family as follows:

  • 2nd child 5%
  • 3rd child 7.5%
  • 4th child 10%

Pupil Personal Accident Scheme

There is a Pupil Personal Accident scheme available to all pupils at a cost of £4.00 per term, which is automatically added to the termly bill. This policy covers accidents which result in serious and permanent injuries such as the loss of a limb, loss of eyesight, or extensive disfigurement. The scheme provides cover 24 hours per day, including outside of term-time. It is not compulsory to participate in the scheme and any parent who prefers to opt out should notify the LGS Finance Department.

Aftercare

An aftercare facility is available for children in Kinders to Year 2, until 6pm and is charged at £7.25 per hour.

School Lunches

School lunches cost £3.45 per day.

If your child switches to a packed lunch, one week’s notice (in writing) should be given and the School will credit any amounts paid for the remainder of the term. Credits will not be given for sickness or family holiday.

Music

Fees vary according to the type of instrument and the duration of lessons. Fees are payable direct to the visiting instrumental teacher.
