Clubs and Activities
There are a wide variety of co-curricular activities for pupils of all ages during lunch times and after school. These activities are included in the school fees unless specifically specified - please see the PDF at the bottom of this page.
If you wish to register for external opportunities, they are listed below with plenty of information:
Please see the overview below on what is on offer for children in Co-Curricular. Please click on the relevant link below to the specific year group for registration. A reminder that if you wish to register for any external club provision, they are all directly below on a separate tab.
Don't worry it is not first-come first-served any more, we will close the registration Sunday 10 September, giving you 5 days to get registered. Those staff in charge of the club will then confirm your child's place, commencing week beginning 11 September.

Gymnastics with Rob Payne - Tuesday
Year 2 - 3:00 - 4:00pm
Years 3-5 - 4.00 - 5.00pm
Gymnastics club has been running as a popular co-curricular club for 8 years at Leicester Grammar and offers our pupils the chance to explore movements that are core to many sports as well as their physical well-being. Run by a former international gymnast Rob shares his experience by encouraging pupils to explore gymnastic based shapes, jumps, rolls, balances, steps and vaults. Children develop their self-confidence and are encouraged to push their boundaries whilst performing arial skills under Robs guidance.
A class for pupils in year 2 runs from 15:00 - 16:00 followed by a class for pupils in years 3-5 from 16:00 - 17:00. Spaces are restricted to conform with coach/children ratios.

This Cheerleading Club, held at Leicester Grammar Junior School started in 2015 and has been incredibly successful. The Cheerleaders have produced some amazing routines and have the chance to showcase their routines throughout the year during Assembles, Sports Week and at a Christmas Dance Show.
The children will learn a mixture of stunts, jumps, tumbling skills as well as dance routines, helping with their confidence through a way of having fun, so please sign up. Click here for more information.

When Hayley and Kelle set up Lemon Jelly in 2007, their aim was to provide a safe and fun environment for children to experience everything that the world of performing arts could offer, essential skills for life (not just a career in the arts).
Hayley and Kelle both trained at one of the most famous drama schools in the world, Italia Conti Academy of Theatre arts. Following their exceptional training and an exciting career in all areas of the industry, they now proudly pass on their valuable experience and knowledge to many young people. With over 1000 children attending their classes every week, Lemon Jelly is living up to its aspiration of giving confidence to as many kids as they possibly can through performing arts!

Indian Dance with Amar Mistry (Nupur Arts) - Thursday

Join us, Nupur Arts Dance Academy, in our vibrant, energetic and intricate Bollywood dance club. Our Indian dance classes are run by specialist teachers who incorporate a traditional and folk style of Indian dance with upbeat modern and global influences.
We are also a qualified Arts Award centre, so all children will get the opportunity to gain an Arts Award qualification awarded by Trinity college, London eventually contributing towards their UCAS points. Alongside multiple performance opportunities at our academy’s annual shows and external performances throughout the year!

Tennis with Luke Godsmark (Head of Tennis, Senior School) - Friday
After school tennis sessions will resume on Fridays during Advent term. Year 2 will be 3.00pm - 3.45pm, and Years 5 & 6 will be at 3.45pm - 4.45pm. This is a 5 week course and spaces are very limited. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Sessions will be on November 3rd, 17th, 24th, December 1st & 8th. Please note there will not be a session on November 10th.
