Foundation Stage

House System

Pupils from Year 2 upwards are placed in one of four houses each with its own Captain and Vice Captain. Siblings are always placed in the same house.

Head Boy and Head Girl

The Junior School has a Head Boy and Head Girl who have specific duties to perform at special occasions.

School Council

The Junior School Council comprises an elected representative from each class in Years 3 to 6. The council meets regularly to discuss views and opinions expressed by fellow pupils and to agree a focus for each term, for example, initiating fund-raising opportunities for new playground equipment. Each councillor keeps his/her class informed of progress and decisions made.

L.G.J.S. Friends

The Friends Association is a group of volunteer parents and teachers who concern themselves with social events and raising money for school projects. Examples of fund-raising activities include a Christmas Fair, Treasure Hunt, Diwali Evening, Quiz Night, Summer Ball.

The association also supports and provides valuable assistance at many other school events such as open days.

School Nurse

Andrea Eid, our qualified school nurse is on-site throughout term time. Her role is to provide support and advice for the Junior School first-aiders and when required treat any injury of significance sustained by a Junior School pupil.
