Pupils join Reception in the September following their fourth birthday. There are three classes, each benefiting from the skills of a qualified teacher and nursery nurse.

Reception is a natural progression from Kinders and there continue to be ample opportunities for children to consolidate essential skills through a balance of adult-directed tasks and play-related activities.

The learning is always hands-on, exciting and innovative and more traditional teaching methods are enhanced by the use of computers, iPads and interactive whiteboards.

The curriculum continues to be enhanced by input from specialist music and PE teachers with the additional support of a French specialist.
